Comments Off on SWIABFM Plans are coming together!
Be sure to mark your calendars for September 16 and 17, 2017 for a fun-filled weekend with other British car and motorcycle owners. Yes. Plans are coming together for the SWIABFM show. Not only will we have the show at the Village at Meridian as we did last year, we are also including a drive up to McCall Idaho for a show in downtown McCall by the lake. You can get more details on the SWIABFM website (http://www.swiabfm.org) and start planning your weekend with us.
Below are the logos for the McCall drive and the Village show. Be sure to bookmark the SWIABFM web for continuous updates. We should have hotel accommodations online soon!
Come join us for the 3rd annual walk along the Boise and Idaho Foundation for Parks and Lands Greenbelt, followed up with a lunch at the Ram restaurant, 709 E Park Blvd, Boise, ID. This is a great way to add a little SPRING to your step and get you ready for the new driving season. As one of the club members has stated, “if you are driving little British cars, you should be prepared to do a little walking.”
We have planned several different starting points for you to choose or you can choose to meet up at the Ram for lunch. The main walk is approximately 7 miles with other walks at 13, 4 and 2 miles.
Here are the starting points, locations and start times:
7:00 am – Hilton Garden Inn parking, 145 E Riverside Dr, Eagle, ID. The distance to the Ram is a little under 13 miles.
This Saturday, I will have more photos of our cars for the IBCC wall at Eddie’s! Below are what I will have to give them. Is one of them yours? Join us at Eddie’s for breakfast this Saturday and see our Wall and the photos I will present to them for the Wall.

Comments Off on Planning for the 2017 Southwest Idaho All British Field Meet
Yes, plans for the SWIABFM are underway! We have finalized the agreement with the Village and secured the date, September 17, 2017. When you have a successful show, there is not too much you want to change. So look for us to repeat what we did for last year’s show. The car show, a Beatles tribute band and the beer tent will all be there.
Yet we will jazz it up a bit with a drive to McCall for a mini-SWIABFM show on Saturday, September 16. Look for updates on the show here, in the IBCC newsletters, Facebook and the newly designed SWIABFM web page.
I have found that current day events are not showing when you go to the Upcoming Events page (https://www.idahobritishcars.org/events/). Example, we know we have a coffee meeting coming up on 2/18, but if you were to look at this page on the 18th the meeting would not be listed. It would be listed on any of the web pages that have the sidebar (right side) event list.
I have reported the problem to the publishers and hope to have a fix in place soon. In the meantime, if you want to be sure about an event on the same day you are looking, either check one of the sidebar views or go to the “Calendar View” from the Events menu.
Comments Off on Online Membership Registration Form
I have redesigned the online form to make it more readable and separated into sections. This should clear up some of the confusion that the old form presented. If you haven’t renewed your 2017 membership or if you want to join the Club, click on the logo below.
Our official and known events coordinator (see Feb pub night event) is our host tonight at the Sockeyed Grill at 6:30 pm. The Grill is located on Fairview Dr just west of Cloverdale in Boise. You can get the full details HERE
